For me, Christmas starts in November. Our band, like many brass bands, has a busy Christmas period – and that means rehearsing Christmas music. In November.
We’ve had few concerts this year but quite a bit of carolling. My favourite job is one we did for some Christmas enthusiast in Beeston Rylands. He loves his lights and paid for the band to play for his switch-on. This is a semi-detached house in suburbia.
His neighbours were out in force and even though it was BLOODY COLD it’s worth breaking out the thermals to do stuff like this.

All change
Hello there. I’m still here but been a little busy recently.
I’ve recently moved the blog to a new server (cloud-based, so that should probably be servers) and I’m yet to import all my old posts. I’ve, er, forgotten where the exported file is…
Anyway, normal service will be resumed shortly. Probably.
In the meantime I’ll be trying out a few more themes. Expect the blog to break. I’ve left error reporting turned on for now so expect some weird messages – I’m using the new beta version of WordPress and things may be a litle rough around the edges
