- Provided communications throughout the world for use by Royal Air Force personnel using the most modern data/voice communications equipment available in the armed forces
- Installed and maintained Communications Centres, involving telephone, fax and telegraphy systems, data circuits and rear-link satellite ground stations
- Worked extensively with modems, multiplexers, cryptographic equipment and data systems, using mainly X21, X25 and V24 protocols

Key Success
As a Corporal in charge of a team of technicians installed all detachment communications for the operation at Pristina Airport in Kosovo. Successfully provided voice and data services over Satcom for several hundred service personnel in adverse conditions.
